Terms & Conditions of Purchases

When purchasing our items you are agreeing to abide by these terms:

Claude & Leighton reserves the right to cancel any order prior to dispatch.

Claude & Leighton has made every effort to ensure that all product information on our listings and our website is accurate.

The customer accepts that colour differences can occur in any product when it is being viewed and compared on a computer monitor or device screen.

We reserve the right to change and remove any item from the product range at any time.

Pricing

  • Pricing on the website is subject to change without prior notification.
  • In the event that an error in price or description has been made on the website we reserve the right to cancel any order. If a pricing error has been made on a product you have placed an order for, you will be notified and given the option to accept the corrected price or to cancel your order. A refund will be processed if payment has been received.
  • VAT is payable and is included in the price shown on the website.

Payment

We accept payment by credit card (Mastercard, Visa) and debit card, as well as by PayPal Express and Apple Pay.

Delivery

  • Our art prints and posters are made to order with the same care and attention that went into designing and creating them.
  • They are professionally printed on our premises and then carefully packaged.
  • Prints and poster will be rolled in protective inner and outer tubes.
  • Clocks and wall sculptures are packaged with care in many layers of protective packaging and strong outer cartons.
Order Dispatch
  • Print orders are custom-printed. They are usually dispatched within 5-7 working days of receipt.
  • Wall clocks and sculptures are usually dispatched within 3-4 days of receipt.
Delivery Information
  • Depending on the size and volume of individual items or orders, the destination address, and service availability, we dispatch goods either by MyHermes, DHL, DPD, UPS or Parcelforce.
  • If you live in a non-mainland area (as defined by our courier companies in the UK Charges section above) within the UK, an alternative delivery charge may apply. If applicable, we would advise you of this prior to accepting your order, with the option to cancel the order if required.
  • Applicable delivery cost options will be shown at checkout.
  • Please allow up to 5 working days after dispatch for standard or free delivery.
  • Important: for Royal Mail deliveries, the Royal Mail requires that 15 working days elapse before a parcel can be presumed lost.
  • All products carefully checked before dispatch and carefully hand packed.
  • We aim to dispatch all orders within 2-3 business working days (so not including Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays), following cleared payment.
  • All deliveries require a Proof of Delivery and must be signed for.
  • By placing an order you are authorising us to accept a signature from another person on your behalf, if you are not present at the time of delivery.
  • The person who signs for the item must be 18 years of age or older.
  • You will receive notification from us with a tracking number and the name of the delivery company (eg. MyHermes, DPD, etc.) when your order is dispatched. You should use this tracking number on the applicable delivery company's website to obtain information about the progress of your delivery. If you have any concerns or queries about your delivery please contact us immediately.
  • If no one is present at the delivery address you provided when delivery is attempted, you are responsible for contacting without delay the delivery company to rearrange delivery or for collecting the consignment from the local sorting office, depot or other collection point.
  • If the delivery company "returns the parcel to sender" (ie. returns the parcel to us) where delivery has been attempted and where you have not contacted the delivery company to rearrange delivery for another day or have not collected your parcel from the delivery company, and where you have not contacted us for assistance, then we will deduct our delivery costs from the refund of your original payment. Alternatively, at your request and at your additional cost we can arrange to resend the order to you.
  • It is your responsibility on receipt of the goods to check that these are correct and in satisfactory condition and to notify us within our specified timescales with any issues.

Returns

All returns must be authorised in writing. Please contact us by email at returns@claudeandleighton.com with your reason for requesting a return, plus your name, postcode, the order ID and the item name.

Important: it is not possible for customers to return items in person at any of our premises.

Change of Mind: 30 Day Money Back Guarantee

Claude & Leighton offers a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee if you change your mind about any of our products.
  • Unwanted items must be returned within 30 days of the date of delivery.
  • Under the UK & EU Distance Selling Regulations, if you are a consumer (not a business) and buy online, your consumer rights entitle you to a full refund by informing us in writing within 14 days of receipt of the goods. Where applicable, this refund will include our standard delivery charge you paid at the time of order.
  • If you chose to pay for a non-standard postage option, such as an express or premium delivery service or for delivery to a geographical or non-mainland location that incurs an additional postage cost then this cost is not refundable.
  • The buyer will pay all carriage charges incurred to return unwanted products to Claude & Leighton.
  • If you inform us in writing after 14 days (and return the goods within 30 days of receipt) we will refund the cost of the order minus the original carriage costs we incurred. In the case of items purchased with free postage, the cost of the original carriage paid by Claude & Leighton will be deducted, as this is a direct cost to us.

  • Authorised goods returns must be received by us within 30 days of the original delivery date. Goods received outside this timeframe will not be eligible for refund.
  • All goods must be returned to us where possible in their original packaging. Please ensure that goods are repackaged exactly as received and protected for the return journey.
  • Goods must be in a new, re-saleable condition, unused and complete with all component parts.
  • If you are returning all the items on an order then any free gift that was included with your order as part of a promotion or for any other reason, must also be returned. If free items are not returned with your order then the cost of these will be deducted from any order refund.
  • Please also include your original invoice or delivery note.
  • All returned goods are fully inspected, and if they do not meet these conditions, they will not be eligible for a refund.
  • When returning goods to us we advise you obtain a proof of postage/courier receipt and tracking information. Returned goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. We cannot be held responsible for returned goods lost or damaged in transit.
  • Approved refunds will be processed and issued via the original method of payment no later than 7 working days after we receive and check your returned goods to ensure that all conditions have been met.
Cancellation of Order
  • Please contact us by email at cancel@claudeandleighton.com as soon as possible notifying us of your wish to cancel your order with your reason, plus your name, postcode, the order ID and the item name.
  • If the goods have not yet been dispatched we will cancel your order and refund your payment in full.
  • If your order has already been dispatched, you will need to wait until the order is delivered to you and then return it to us within 30 days of the date of delivery.
  • The buyer will pay all carriage charges incurred to return the cancelled order to Claude & Leighton.
  • All goods must be returned to us in their original sealed outer and inner packaging and retail packaging in a new, re-saleable condition, unused and complete with all accessories, instructions, packaging, etc. Include your original invoice or delivery note.
  • All returned goods are fully inspected, and if they do not meet these conditions, they will not be eligible for a refund.
  • When returning goods to us we advise you obtain a proof of postage/courier receipt and tracking information. Returned goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. We cannot be held responsible for returned goods lost or damaged in transit.
  • Approved refunds, minus the cost of our original delivery charge, will be processed and issued via the original method of payment no later than 7 working days after we receive and check your returned goods to ensure that all conditions have been met.

Incorrect Goods

If we have sent you an incorrect product, we will exchange the product at our expense or refund the original payment.
Please contact us by email at returns@claudeandleighton.com within 36 hours of delivery describing the incorrect item you have received, including any product codes on the packaging. Please include your name, postcode, the order ID and the name of the item purchased.
We also require you to include a clear digital photo(s) of the incorrect item(s) and their packaging.

Goods Damaged in Transit

Please immediately check your goods on receipt of delivery. If items do arrive damaged or broken during transit, please let us know in writing within 24 hours of delivery. We are not able to claim for damage from a courier if this time elapses. If you do not inform us within 24 hours of delivery, then we will have no liability for items said to be damaged on delivery.
If the outer packaging is visibly damaged on receipt, either refuse the delivery or you must clearly state damaged on the courier's delivery note when signing for the goods. Otherwise, we are not able to claim for damage from a courier and we will not take responsibility for items with damaged outer packaging if this is the case.
Please contact us by email at returns@claudeandleighton.com within 24 hours of delivery with a detailed description of the damage to the outer packaging as well as to the contents inside, plus your name, the order ID, the item description and a daytime contact telephone number.
We also require you to include clear digital photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging and the goods which clearly depict the damage. Without this written information and photographic evidence of damage, we will not be able to process a refund or exchange.
Please do not return goods to us unless we have given you authorisation to do so. Without a written authorisation from us, we will not be liable to refund any carriage costs incurred by you in returning goods to us.
On a case by case basis we may provide a full refund or an exchange without requiring the damaged goods to be returned. We will notify you in writing of our decision.
When returning goods to us please ensure you obtain a proof of postage/courier receipt and tracking information. Returned goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. We cannot be held responsible for returned goods lost or damaged in transit.
Approved refunds will be processed and issued via the original method of payment no later than 7 working days after we receive and check the described damage on the returned goods.
Approved exchanges will be dispatched no later than two working days after we receive and check the described damage on the returned goods.

Promotion codes and discounts

If you acquire a coupon, discount or promotional discount code offered by Claude & Leighton, it is valid for use online only at claudeandleighton.com, and not in any other outlets, on any other websites or by phone, unless otherwise stated.

The following conditions apply:
For the promotional code to be valid, a valid product must be added to your basket.
Only one promotional code can be used per transaction.
The promotion code can be used only once per customer.
The promotional code cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, code or with items on sale.
If you have more than one promotional code, you may place separate orders.
Orders must be made prior to the closing date and time stated.
Orders will be delivered to UK addresses only.
No cash alternative is available.
All offers are subject to stock availability.
Any refunds will take into account the discount.
Claude & Leighton reserves the right to modify or cancel a promotion at any time.
All other Claude & Leighton terms and conditions apply.

Applicable Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Law.

Miscellaneous Provisions

Unless agreed, "working days" do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Public Holidays.
