About this blue artwork of 15 miniature square paintings... by the artist
This artwork contains 15 small paintings in one. Essentially, each one is a miniature mixed media study of composition and colour, textures and marks.
I started the piece by dividing the paper in 15 squares with lightly drawn pencil marks. Each little square then becomes an individual painting using various media. Creating layers of paint strokes and spatters, pastel squiggles, ink drips, collage pieces and more.
The challenge is to make each little painting look great on its own, while making the whole piece work in terms of composition, energy and colour. So I go back and forth until I feel that the balance is just right. It's hard to stop sometimes! 🤣
My colour palette for this artwork was full of beautiful mixes of blues, from dark blue to cerulean and sky blue. Combined with accents of pale pink, yellow, teal and purple, the artwork has a lovely fresh, joyful feel. Like summer days spent by the river with picnics and ice-creams.

We currently offer unframed prints only.
Choosing a frame is very subjective and comes down to personal taste. So we leave the choice of frame to you so you can display the print with your own flair.

DELIVERY
Our art prints and posters are made to order with the same care and attention that went into designing and creating them.
They are professionally printed by us, and then carefully packaged with love.
Your art prints and posters (all sizes except Mini Print Gift Sets) will be wrapped and rolled in protective inner and outer tubes. We use a smart black inner gift tube which opens from the centre so that you can easily remove your print.
Sets of three mini art prints are placed in a gift envelope, which is then dispatched in a hard-back outer envelope.
Our clocks and wall sculptures are equally packaged with care and love in many layers of protective packaging and strong outer cartons.
Order dispatch
Print orders are custom-printed. They are usually dispatched within 5-7 days of receipt.
Wall clocks and sculptures are usually dispatched within 3-5 days of receipt.
