About this digital abstract painting in hues of enchanting blues...by the artist
Do you have boxes of cards and letters from loved ones, full of memories, or from a different era?
My own sorting through papers and mementos from family members who have passed on, has definitely influenced some of my art. I find old family letters, cards and postcards intriguing. Trying to imagine the lives and personas of the sender and the recipient at the time of sending.
So the idea of an old postcard, or the hint of a memory, or a scrap of handwritten letter have been appearing in my art.
Or, in the case of this particular painting, some lines from a poem. A section of paper on which a few lines from William Blake's poem, Nurses Song, are written. Layered with watercolour paper collage, and strokes and marks of beautiful blue hues.
The art has been created with a deckled edge look, and is full of interesting layers and details. The colour palette includes an array of enchanting blue hues and turquoise.
