The painting of this abstract landscape really took me back to my childhood in Scotland. Spending time in the hills and meadows near to my home. Gazing out over lochs or rivers (we had lots of water around us, including the sea, and a river running through the town), and daydreaming. 

My colour palette was full of beautiful greens and blues, naturally evoking rolling hills and grassy meadows, and meandering rivers and mysterious lochs. 

I added some layers of collage into this mixed media painting to bring extra details and interest into the piece.  

I think the name, which came straight to mind (sometimes naming a painting takes a while), fits it perfectly.
